Ventura

Northwest of Los Angeles is the coastal city of Ventura. It is well-known for its beaches, such as San Buenaventura State Beach, which has the lengthy wooden Ventura Pier. Surfing and windsurfing are prominent at Surfer’s Point. Main Street in the center of town is home to the Mission San Buenaventura and its church, built in 1809.
